| Welcome |
My name is Adam Humphreys, I live in Usk, South Wales and took up carving after finishing a degree in outdoor recreation at Worcester University in 2008.
It was whilst working on my father's farm over the Summer that I completed my first sculpture on a left-over tree stump... something I had wanted to do since starting chain-sawing a few years previous. Despite being called expensive fire wood by certain family members, I enjoyed it and pursued it further in my spare time.
I consider myself lucky to be brought up with, and chased by the animals I carve, like many who visit Usk Castle! I draw upon my experiences with them to gain an understanding of their mannerisms and characters, and strive to represent that in my work.

"My next upcoming exhibition is Artisans in the Gardens 2011. It will be held from Saturday, 8th October to Sunday 16th October, in which the garden of Lion Gate Lodge in the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney are filled with original, eclectic works of art to raise money for the Boyal Rotanic Gardens charity. A Few pieces of my work can also still be seen at The Crisp Galleries in Yass."
